Kate de Freitas
Kate de Freitas trained at Mountview Theatre Academy of Arts and still works as an actress and singer. She has worked in theatre, musical theatre, television and has written comedy for sketch shows for the Brushed Forward Arrangement Company.
Kate also studied for an MA in Creative Screenwriting and has written several short films.
She currently sings in the Kate de Freitas band, a high octane Jazz & Blues band specialising in Swing and Rockerbilly and has written and performed songs for Momentum a sax led jazz band featuring all original material. She sang with a Fat Sams big band at the Edinburgh jazz festival and the North Berwick-on-sea Arts Festival last year.
Kate created Hullabaloo in Muswell Hill back when her first child was a baby then took a break whilst she had her other 2 children and has worked for the last 6 years as a session leader for Jumping Jellybeans a music group for under 4s which she has hugely enjoyed.
Kate also teaches drama for 6-11 year olds in an after school club called Early Stages, adapting shows such as James & the Giant Peach, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and Peter Pan.
Acting coaching and singing lesson are available privately for adults and children from 6 years old.
